Hi, I am Joanna Stachowiak, the founder of Cats` Vibes.
Cats have been a part of my life since I can remember. I have been fascinated by these mysterious and beautiful beings and passionate about what great companions they are.
As a child I was very determined to rescue homeless and sick cats that were wondering the streets of my neighbourhood.
While most people (especially those who do not know much about cats) consider cats as lazy or selfish animals that do not like to interact with people, they are not aware that cats have a special influence on our lives. Not many people realise that cats can remove and absorb negative energy that accumulates in our body. These magical animals protect our household from unwanted spirits and it also has been scientifically proven that cats purring is very beneficial for human health; it helps to calm emotions, lower blood pressure, regulate sugar levels in diabetics and increase overall wellbeing.
I experienced these special powers in one of the the most difficult times of my life. And these positive Cats’ Vibes became the inspiration to share with other and create this website.
At the beginning of 2015, as a result of a routine medical examination, I was told I had been infertile with both fallopian tubes blocked. This meant that if my partner and I decided to have children, the only hope for us would be IVF. This was a devastating diagnosis that motivated me to research various medical and natural methods that were giving hope. My life suddenly changed from being focused on just settling down in my new home country, Australia, to the worry that I might never become a mother. This triggered extreme maternal feelings. I realised I really want to have children and it was difficult to live knowing that I might not be able to experience motherhood.
I had not expected then that my life would be surprisingly lightened by a little lively 5 week old black kitten.
On the 10th of May 2015, a beautiful sunny autumn day in South Australia, that also happened to be Mother`s Day, we decided to go for a walk in Second Valley Forest Reserve..
We only started our walk on the charming Heysen Trail, when we heard a loud desperate crying that sounded like a little baby screaming for milk and a cuddle. We wondered where the crying was coming from. We were in the middle of the forest with no houses or farms around. We stopped for a minute and listened. The noise seemed to be closer and closer when suddenly a little black, green eyed kitten jumped out the bush and ran to us crying louder and more desperately. The kitten followed us on our walk for at least two kilometres and was quite determined to follow us all the way to, and into, the car. Even our kelpie dog Coco enjoyed having her nearby. We could not refrain from taking her with us. She seemed to be very scared and attached to us as if she wanted to say: “my life depends on you, if you leave me now, I will die”. Without doubt, this clumsy little kitten would have no chance to survive in the forest and probably eaten by foxes. We took our new furry friend to the car. She was exhausted after her forest torment and fell asleep on my lap peacefully. We decided to call her Heysen to reflect where she found us on this special Mother`s Day.
Heysen enjoyed her first nutritious meal at home and her new cosy bed. She was familiar with a house environment, she knew food comes out the fridge and knew how to use kitty litter. It all indicated that she had been left in the forest by someone who wanted to get rid of her.
I wondered why something like this happened to us. I was convinced that Heysen was a special gift from fate for me in that difficult time. Even though I could not have children, I could have a lovely cat. The fact that it happened on Mother`s Day had a very symbolic meaning. This was like a wonderful Mother`s Day gift, a consolation in sadness that later turned out to become prophecy. Heysen has now become our companion ever since I had her in my arms for the first time. She has been a very grateful pet, paying back all the love that we gave her. She loves cuddles and purrs like little tractor when she is petted. She generates positive vibrations in our house and heals the aura. I believe that Heysen came along because we had a need for her in the home at that time. She came for a reason. This stray, abandoned, cat has volunteered to help us and had sought us out. And we are grateful to her for picking our household.
Less than 2 months after Heysen appeared in our life, I found out I am expecting my first child, without any medical interventions. This was even more unexpected, considering the earlier medical diagnosis. Did Heysen use her healing powers? Well, undoubtedly, she helped me to go through difficult times and the medical problem disappeared.
